What is the benefit of psychotherapy?
Beginning the process of psychotherapy treatment can help to build self-esteem, reduce anxiety, strengthen coping mechanisms, improve social and community functioning, and support your personal growth and development goals. Supportive psychotherapy can help clients navigate symptoms and issues related to their mental health conditions which, in turn, can affect the rest of their lives.

Beginning therapy can be scary. I commend you for starting your search for the right clinician to join you on your journey. One of the most important components of therapy is a strong rapport between client and therapist. Please see some information about me, my experience, and my approach to treatment to help you determine if I may be a good fit for you.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario. I completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology at the University of Ottawa, and a Master of Arts in Counselling & Spirituality at Saint Paul University.

I have been supporting youth and adults with their mental health since 2010, providing therapeutic services in a variety of settings including The Royal, The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario’s Youth Net, Operation Come Home, Saint Paul University’s Centre for Counselling, the John Howard Society of Ottawa, and the Ottawa Institute of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. My clinical practice is rooted in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with a client-centred and collaborative approach to best fit each individual’s needs. I regularly integrate other evidence-based approaches such as: Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused, Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
